Budget Body Scrub

Dry skin is the bane of my existence during winter.  Seeing as hibernation is not socially acceptable and migration is out of my current budget, I am left with one option – exfoliation!  This is one of my best recipes.  It is simple to make and delicious to use. So make your skin happy and give it a try.

Makes enough for two applications:

What you will need:

3/4 cup of Oats

3/4 cup Sugar

1 tbs dried Lavender

3 tbs Olive Oil

For a softer scrub add 1 tbs Milk

Yes I know it sounds a bit like breakfast but trust me.

Place all your dry ingredients into a mixer (if you don’t have a one don’t worry you will have the same result it will just be coarser.)

Mix for about 40 sec.

Remove from the mixer, this is a good time to test the texture on you skin. If it feels too rough then you can add the milk to soften it a bit let it sit for about 10-15 min before use. Bear in mind, that once the milk is added the scrub should be used the same day. Without the milk, the mixture can be stored for up to two weeks in a cool place, sealed in an airtight container.

Let me know what you

Meet Our Photographer

Meet our in-house photographer Steven, who I happen to have the privilege of being married to! I just want to say how grateful we are to him for all his hard work and creativity. Without his pictures our blog would just be a thousand words. x Natalie & Elaine
