This month has been a good month for Bargain Hunting. As there are seasons in any hunting, the best buys can be found at the change of seasons. Here are some of the fabulous deals that I managed to bag…
- A lovely pair of jeans from Holmes Brothers brought is Rosebank at the side walk sale. The Original price R320, and I paid R100! They are lovely and comfortable and the best thing is they are made in South Africa. Local is always lekker*! And Just so you don’t think I am the only one benefiting from the bargain hunt Steve brought 2 fab Holmes Brother T-shirts for just R50 each! You can’t even get anything descent from Mr Price for that amount.)
The rest of my bargains were found in my new favourite charity shop that I discovered in Dullstroom called Absolutely Fabulous and it completely lives up to its name. I popped in on the way through to Lydenburg for our holiday long weekend away, but I couldn’t browse properly because everyone was standing outside waiting to go. So I made Steve promise that we would come on our way home. When we arrived on a Sunday, the shop was closed. I was so disappointed, I had been dreaming about it all weekend. But the story has a happy ending; Steve saved the day and asked the lady from the shop next door if she knew why the shop was closed. She just happened to be the secretary of the charity, Helping Hands that the shop supports and she had a set of keys! So thanks to my darling husband, I had the shop to myself and was able to browse to my heart’s content. And this is what I bought:
A vintage green dress: R30
And matching green jacket: Also R30!
Total Cost R150!!!!! Can I hear a round of applause?
So if you are even in the area don’t forget to visit Absolutely Fabulous you never know what you might find!
Happy Shopping!

Natalie
